Cervical Epidural Steroid Injection

Injections of cervical epidural steroids are used to relieve pain, promote function and enable patients to seek physical therapy and return to work, sports and everyday activities. Its primary indication is to minimize inflammation associated with a number of spinal disorders, such as herniated disc, cervical spinal stenosis, and impingement of nerve root degenerative disc disease. When the injections are combined with a coordinated therapeutic exercise regimen, activity adjustment and ergonomic corrections, there seems to be a stronger response.
