Abdominal/Pelvic Pain

The abdomen is an anatomical region bounded by the lower margin, the pelvic bone (pubic ramus) below, and the flanks on either side of the ribs and diaphragm above. While pain may originate from the abdominal wall tissues that surround the abdominal cavity (such as skin and muscles), the term abdominal pain is commonly used to describe discomfort inside the abdominal cavity arising from organs. Organs of the abdomen include the stomach, small intestine, colon, liver , gallbladder, spleen, and pancreas.
